Melbourne is the largest metropolitan area in Brevard County, boasting an international airport, many large corporate facilities, and over 80,000 residents. There is a deliberate push underway by government officials to make Melbourne the Silicone Valley of Central Florida.
To the south, Melbourne is adjacent to Palm Bay; to the West, West Melbourne; to the North, Rockledge; and to the east, the beachside communities and southern Merritt Island. With shopping, museums, many new housing developments, an arts district, a historic district / main street, docks and water sports, and much more, there’s always something going on in this city.
