If you’re interested in learning about and honoring veterans, Brevard has a wonderful informative museum with an extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. Located on Merritt Island, behind the mall, you will find this gem located on a lovely site next to the Banana River. The Memorial Park honors veterans with a variety of statues and monuments, as well as planes, helicopters, tanks, and jeeps. The (free!) museum holds three levels of veteran-related artifacts, most from Brevard County. Additionally, it hosts a genuine working periscope, not to be missed!
